Imagine one day you get up and there is no sun..
I mean have you ever thought how important light is to us. Just give it a thought or just let your wild imagination come out and think our life without the sun, or say without the natural light. Don’t know about you but surely I won’t be able to live.
I mean how someone can live without the natural sun light.
Your life practically, frankly and totally depends upon the natural sun light.
The same is the case with photography. I mean no matter how many artificial lights you put on, to make the picture look as natural as possible, you won’t possibly get the result what you would have got through the natural light.
I’m not saying, make all the studios open air, there you have to use the artificial lights to click a good picture. But, observe most of the professional photographers will use as much of natural light and surrounding as possible for their campaigns.
You just can’t beat the natural light pictures to any other light source. That’s why I say – that no one can give as much as the nature gives you J
To my knowledge till date Mr. Vincent Versace and ace natural light photographer is the best example to learn and observe from his pictures. The way he has used the natural light and the way he has focused on his subject is a great art in itself.
After reading this post till what I have written till now, I think in the near future no studio light company is going to provide me with any lights, by smashing the door on my face, they will only have to say- go make your studio in the open field. J
Its not that im against artificial light source. There are some types or campaigns where you don’t have any other option to get a good picture. But, to a extent where the nature is giving us this unlimited source why don’t we use it to the max and not waste our fossil fuels. Why don’t people understand and make use of what is available to them free and as well as unlimited, because these are the only two words people die to hear these days.
So, then just wildly wandering around here and there.. try and click pictures which involves natural light in it. Trust me they will be outstanding..
Keep clicking and don’t forget the beautiful noise of the shutter..
P.S - Im going to ask my one of my friends who is into music.. if its possible to record the sound of the shutter and make some music out of it.. I know it’s a weird and a wild idea but then at the end of the day its me… THE WILD WANDERER….
